La Pologne en Luxembourg

Le 18 avril 1921 il y a exactement cent ans le comte polonais Władysław Sobański présenta les lettres de créance à la Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, devenant ainsi le premier ambassadeur de Pologne au Luxembourg dans l'histoire.

Il y a trente ans, le 15 février 1991, les présidents de la Pologne et de la République tchécoslovaque ainsi que le premier ministre de la Hongrie ont signé la « Déclaration de coopération entre la République fédérale tchèque et slovaque, la République de Pologne et la République de Hongrie pour la poursuite de l'intégration européenne » au château de Višegrad en Hongrie.

On 11 November 1918, 102 years ago, Poland regained its independence.

Polish candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the OECD will present his ideas for the Organization during the online debate at PISM on 12th of November.

Le 15 août 2020, nous célébrons le 100ième anniversaire de la Bataille de Varsovie qui fut un moment culminant de la guerre soviéto-polonaise 1919-1920 et l’un des évènements décisifs dans l’histoire de la Pologne, de l’Europe et du monde.

This year will go down in history as a time of great struggle and consequence. Our fight against the pandemic is an epic human endeavour, but we need to brace ourselves for an even more important battle in the months ahead – over the shape of our post-Covid economy.

This is not the first time that the President of Russia is attempting to revive the Stalinist vision of modern history. It was created in the communist era by combining selective interpretations of facts, half-truths and propaganda. An image alternative to reality was constructed. The totalitarian Soviet Union was presented as a country of good intentions, a defender of peace and the security of nations, a noble conqueror of the German Reich.

75 ans après la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, nous rendons hommage à ses victimes. Nous nous souvenons de la lutte inébranlable de la Nation polonaise avec l'Allemagne nazie tout au long du conflit en Europe de septembre 1939 à mai 1945.
